The Analyst will manage the chargeback adjudication process for key distributors in the US and Canada within the company’s revenue management systems. This role involves managing the Pricing/Contract Administration system, conducting root cause analysis, resolving pricing discrepancies as well as developing strong internal and external partnerships. The Analyst will be responsible for researching and processing customer financial claims related to chargebacks, managing departmental data, settlement functions and serving as the primary point of contact for any contract system inquiries.
Additionally, the Analyst will handle the analysis and programming of deviated pricing and maintenance requests, ensuring that all requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The candidate must ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of accuracy in programming and managing pricing adjustments.
What would I be doing?
This self-starter must possess strong analytical and communication skills, as they will research, resolve, and review discount data in collaboration with a diverse range of associates within the company and external partners. The analyst will oversee the entire contracting continuum within the Revenue Management and ERP system, managing a high volume of activities with exceptional attention to detail.
Pricing and Contracts
- Ensure timely and precise programming of pricing requests to mitigate adverse financial impacts.
- Independently investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, including pricing discrepancies and system failures, ensuring timely resolution with minimal supervision.
- Guide the consolidation and cleansing of customer master data, preventing duplicates and ensuring data integrity.
- Manage end to end management of GPO contracts, including roster and preferred tier requests in compliance with the contract terms.
- Conduct audit analyses of contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review contracts in partnership with sales, support, and legal teams to ensure clarity and conciseness of pricing terms.
- Collaborate with sales, customers, and customer service teams to address pricing inquiries and resolve issues.
- Review and research requests for credits related to pricing.
- Co-lead the execution of annual price increases/decreases, including notifications, timing, and implementation strategies.
- Assist internal and external customers with pricing requests and inquiries related to the customer master file.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and achieve organizational goals.
Projects, Reporting and Administration
- Run and analyze reports to track pricing performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in strategic, cross functional teams to design programs and process improvements in respond to current and future customer requirements.
- Actively participate in systems testing for department needs, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
- Create and maintain work instructions as necessary and offer recommendations for streamlining and improving current procedures.
- Perform all other related duties as required to support the department and organization.
What would make me qualified?
Education/ Job Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years in pricing/contract management/operations; sales & marketing; finance related function or customer master management experience required. Pharmaceutical or Medical Devise experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities is required.
- Ability to act as a change agent, promoting and facilitating organizational improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Infomatica experience is preferred.
- Revenue Management system experience is preferred.
- Proficient Microsoft Suite required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to drive business results.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative as needed.
- Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets for informed decision-making required.
- Ability to identify and create process improvements required.
- Experience working with Sales Reps or customers is preferred.
- Ability to interact and negotiate with business partners internally and externally.
