What would I be doing?

The Role

As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to serve an internal subject matter expert in derivatives, foreign exchange, pension and debt accounting. Provide accounting guidance and prepare accounting position papers including Debt refinance upon acquisition under ASC 470, Hedges under ASC 815, and other technical accounting topics.

This position will site onsite in their Raritan, New Jersey location.

The Position

• Collaborate with the treasury team on timely execution of hedge and borrowing transactions and provide accounting guidance on planned strategies. Oversee US GAAP ASC 815 accounting for derivatives and hedging activities and review hedge effectiveness testing. Oversee Other Comprehensive Income (“OCI”) activities related to derivatives and hedging.
• Lead accounting and reporting for debt, interest, foreign exchange, derivatives, and hedging. Prepare the supporting analysis and booking of SAP journal entries for (i) external debt and (ii) global hedging to manage foreign exchange, cash flow, and interest rates. Globally lead the pension accounting and perform a consolidated pension reconciliation to deliver to the external reporting team and tax team.
• Prepare debt, pension and derivatives instruments and hedging activities footnote disclosures for 10-Q and 10-K disclosures.
• Ensure accounting policies for foreign exchange, derivative instruments, OCI are maintained and up to date.
• Budget, forecast and analyze the third-party interest expense, hedging gains/losses, and pension expense.
• Support the external audit process. Work on maintaining and improving a control framework for related processes and lead audit walkthroughs for role activities.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

What would make me qualified?

The Individual
Required
• CPA required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 7 years of a combination of public /private experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including ASC 815, hedging, and foreign currency.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and exercise a high degree of adaptability.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• “Can-Do” attitude and ability to communicate and partner with associates at all levels of the organization.
• This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred
• SAP, Workiva and/or OneStream knowledge.
