Responsibilities include ensuring the timely and accurate issuance of financial statements, providing detailed reporting on variances, establishing and maintaining controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and continuously optimizing financial processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
• Lead and coordinate domestic and international accounting functions, including intercompany transactions and eliminations, to ensure timely completion of the financial close process and production of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor the completeness of journal entries/inputs for consolidation and the related reconciliations and analytics that support the ledger to ensure appropriate controls are followed.
• Manage a team responsible for:
Cash, accounts receivable, investments, prepaid expenses, debt, leases, accruals, fixed assets, payroll accounting, intercompany and other general accounting areas.
Monthly financial close of the general ledger and consolidation system including translation of foreign entities.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries, and balance sheet and income statement variance analyses.
• Review accounts payable reconciliations and approves large payments to ensure accuracy of coding and appropriate approval.
• Review journal entries and related accounts reconciliations for indirect taxes and reviews property tax filings as needed.
• Lead the integration of financial systems and reporting for foreign entities into the corporate accounting structure.
• Provide strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions, assisting with the financial due diligence and integration process into the global financial system.
• Review balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow for completeness, accuracy and consistency and prepare related analysis.
• Support SEC financial reporting requirements including financial statements, notes and Management’s Discussion and Analysis.
• Responsible for the monthly Profit Review reporting process.
• Respond to various ad hoc data and research requests as needed.
• Serve as backup to the Controller or other accounting and financial functions as needed.
Systems and Process Improvement:
• Oversee the financial general ledger applications, consolidations, and planning systems for global legal entities and ensure timely close of subledgers and ledgers, data validation and documentation.
• Manage and optimize the system close process, ensuring seamless integration between accounting systems and other financial platforms.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Participate in the annual audit and ensure that all finance and accounting policies, practices and procedures are consistent with GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing appropriate controls, policies, and practices.
• Support the internal SOX and external audit requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Interaction:
• The incumbent works closely with Finance, Commercial organization, Trade Operations, Compliance, Legal, Information Technology, internal and external auditors, and vendors.
What would make me qualified?
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 5 years of direct management experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Current knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, and a deep understanding of consolidation processes, including reconciliations and intercompany eliminations.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, ERP software, and reporting tools (OneStream Software experience a plus).
• Knowledge of and experience in internal accounting controls, audit risk assessment, control documentation, and audit testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
