Our client providing the business community with Commercial Insurance and Surety Bonds seeks Controller.
- Hybrid schedule- in office Tues-Thurs
What would I be doing?
Responsibilities
• The Controller will perform all aspects of facultative accounting
• Prepare monthly facultative premium settlements
• Log and apply cash on a monthly basis
• Assist with reconciling and clearing aged open balances
• Review general ledger balances and reconciliations when necessary
What would make me qualified?
Qualifications
• 5 plus years’ experience working in Accounting/Finance with emphasis in the insurance
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis
• Self-starter; capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment
• Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the insurance/reinsurance markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
